Business Development Associate


Business Development Associate will conduct market/customer research and analysis and keep abreast with industry and market trends to develop business proposals. You will meet with the customers face to face to understand their needs and will respond effectively with a framework for interventions. You will analyze potential business impact for different business development initiatives and prioritize working arrangements accordingly. You will work closely with clients, external consultants and internal departments on matters related to all new contracts. You will be engaged with close and constant follow-up, as well as updates to the client management team on potential leads to help with business development. Lastly, you will need to build long-term relationships with new and existing customers, government authorities and other stakeholders.

Key Function:

The position serves the generation, design and farming Client opportunities including:

  • Lead market research to support in formulating the business development strategy
  • Promote CID’s corporate capabilities and services to clients
  • Generate and validate leads with private sector clients
  • Work closely with practice area teams in CID to design an integrated consulting offering that adds value to our clients
  • Lead the development of comprehensive value offering to CID clients
  • Structure and negotiate partnerships and consulting engagement with clients
  • Build and maintain long-lasting and effective relationships with clients, consultants, partners, and key stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, or relevant areas
  • 5-8 years of experience in consultative selling or marketing in a B2B environment or in international organizations in areas related to bid preparation and management
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and presentation skills
  • Able to develop professional documents and presentations
  • Able to develop and present an idea/topic/argument to mid-level professionals
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong commercial and numerical acumen
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Able to coordinate the activities of different team members
  • Able to develop and maintain relationships with different mid-level stakeholders
  • Able to negotiate with different stakeholders
