Private Sector Engagement Expert

CID Consulting is currently working on several initiatives aimed to foster linkages to the private sector and support the establishment of public private partnerships. As such, the Private Sector Engagement Expert will be responsible for the design, execution and oversight of a comprehensive private sector engagement strategy.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Private Sector Engagement (PSE) Expert will be requested to lead the following:

  1. Technical Leadership
    • Oversee the design and development of a project-wide, cross-cutting private sector engagement strategy.
    • Supervise the identification of relevant private stakeholders.
    • Lead technical engagement internally and externally with relevant stakeholders to enable effective PSE, in line with the designed PSE strategy.
    • Responsible for the integration of private sector engagement across all designed projects, to ensure an integrated and aligned project performance, output, and impact.
    • Oversee execution of the project-wide private sector engagement strategy throughout on designated projects
    • Oversee the organization of periodic project-specific private sector engagement events in alignment with relevant internal and external stakeholders and in-line with the designated projects’ workplan.
    • Represents CID at relevant networking opportunities and stakeholder meetings.

 

  1. Project Management
    • Lead the development of the annual workplan to integrate private sector engagement across designated projects.
    • Monitor the annual PSE workplan to ensure timeliness of delivery and adherence to project overall time plan.
    • Accountable for deliverable submission on designated projects, ensuring feedback is accounted for.
    • Serve as the communication focal point between CID and project partners in matters pertaining to private sector engagement, as required.

 

  1. STTA Oversight
    • Identify human resourcing needs to fulfill the scope in question, as per the submitted and approved workplan.
    • Responsible for drafting and/or approving STTA SOWs including deliverables, timeline, and estimated LOE.
    • Guide and supervise and quality control resources that are contracted to implement different activities within the workplan as related to PSE.
    • Follow up with CID team to ensure mobilization of STTAs.
    • Lead oversight of STTA SOW including workplan, technical leadership, and quality control.
    • Review PSE STTAs mission reports to ensure all relevant information is captured.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

The selected candidate will have the following qualifications.

  • A minimum of 15 years of work experience, with 8-10 years in private sector engagement in Egypt
  • Solid experience in partnership establishment and an understanding of public private partnerships
  • Previous experience in donor-funded development projects is preferred
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability
  • Demonstrates effective team leadership skills
