Feed the Future Egypt Rural Agribusiness Strengthening Project (ERAS) is a five-year USAID-funded activity, supported by the U.S. government’s Feed the Future initiative. The project aims improve the competitiveness of Egypt’s horticulture producers and promotes a more competitive and inclusive Egyptian economy through growth in selected horticultural sectors The objective of the Social and Behavioral Change component is to support project beneficiaries alter their behaviors to better enhance the agribusiness sector at large. Trainings are delivered to partner associations, private sector partners, university graduates and/or smallholder farmers, depending on the component in question.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Support Social Behavioral Change Lead Consultant in his field visits to beneficiary farmers and
project partner associations to support execution of proposed interventions
- Report monthly on SBC trainings to track behavioral changes of the beneficiaries in production
and the project’s most important components and make recommendations for social behavioral
change case studies
- Develop necessary tools to interview beneficiaries to keep track of the sustainable impact of the
project that result in social behavioral change
- Liaise with project team members and result leads to identify success stories related to social
behavioral change communication
- Communicate with project stakeholders in various governorates for accurate reporting related
to social behavior change
- Track the impact related to the most important social behavior changes of the project that
deserve to be well documented
- Other tasks shall be assigned according to the project’s need

DURATION
The scope of work should be carried out between March 2023 and September 2023 with a detailed
workplan to be developed and approved upon hiring.

QUALIFICATIONS:
▪ Higher University degree in Sociology, Anthropology, or other social science degrees.
▪ At least (3) years of experience in working with NGOs and in the development field.
▪ Prior experience in working with marginalized communities.
▪ Prior experience in working on Social Behavior Change activities.
▪ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
▪ Experience working in dynamic and developing contexts.
▪ Prior experience in ethnographic fieldwork methods.
▪ Excellent narrative documentation and writing skills.
▪ Must be proficient in writing, reading, and speaking in English and Arabic
